LENScience Senior Biology Seminar Series 2010
Welcome to the LENScence Senior Biology Seminar Series 2010
The 2010 Seminar Series runs from Term 1 to Term 4 and consists of 8 seminars, run in three week blocks.
Weeks 1 and 3 of each block are local workshops held in schools. Week 2 of each block is the interactive seminar broadcast.
A live audience of students from central Auckland schools will gather at the Liggins Institute to join students from throughout New Zealand who will participate via an interactive satellite television broadcast. This broadcast can also be received through the KAREN network for schools connected to the National Education Network.
In some regional centres, students from multiple schools will gather in a central location. Please refer to the registration page to identify a centre near you.
Curriculum concepts covered will include:
Gene Expression; Mutations; Cell Cycle; Speciation; Predator Prey Relationships; Chronobiology; Biotechnology; Human Evolution; Evolution
Detail of the seminars will be announced as the year progresses.
